The Legend of Lake Toba

Once upon a time, lived a fisherman, his name is Batara Guru Sahala in Batak Land. one day, he caught a fish. he was surprise because the fish could talk! and that fish told to Sahala to set it free, and he did it.

When that fish was free, it changed into a beautifull woman. so, Sahala fell in love for the first sight. Sahala had never saw a beautifull like her before. And so, Sahala asked to marry him and that woman agreed that but Sahala must never told to anyone if she's a fish before. Sahala agreed that.

Sahala and his wife were happily family. they two had two pretty daughters.

That girls, every morning bring the lunch to their father. One day, when Sahala went out fishing. The girls would bring him his lunch, but they two ate it. When Sahala knew his daughters had ate it all, he got so angried. He was saying, "You two behaved exactly like the daughter of fish." but they two didn't knew what their father means.

They went to home and asked to their Mom what their father had said. And she was so anggried. Although Sahala felt so sorry and insist to apologized to her later but she didn't forgive him 'caude breaking the promise.

Then, the earth began to tremble, and the earth cracked to form big hole.

And all people said that this hole become Lake Toba.

"So, didn'd breaking the promise(s) which we had made to anyone and didn't be so easly to got angried, irittated, and annoyed"
